According to the Pew Research Center, in the US, about 13% of the population is over the age of 65. In 2030, it will be more like 18%. It’s a huge challenge to design a facility in which staff can care for the elderly and residents can still feel in control of their lives. There are new approaches to caring for our elderly have lead to drops in medication rates and death rates.
